Vegan Almond Cheese

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups plant milk
  • 1/2 cup almonds (soaked overnight)
  • 1 tbs lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp nutritional yeast 
  • 1 tbs agar agar powder
  • 2 tbs tapioca starch
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • salt 
  • 1 mixed herbs ( pepper, paprika powder, spring onion, oregano etc)

  1. Add all the ingredients (except herbs) in blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and gradually bring to the boil before reducing heat to a simmer.
  3. When the mixture becomes thick and creamy about 5 minutes, pour the mixture into a cheese moulds ( I use cake tins).
  4. Place the cheese moulds into the fridge for 30 minutes or until set.
  5. Add all the ingredients (except the coating mix) into the blender and blend until smooth.
  6. Remove cheese from moulds and carefully roll in the coating mix to coat the edges.
