Breakfast with Benefits: Oatmeal 

2 Servings/ 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 2 cups of soy milk or milk
  • 4 dried dates or 2 tsp of brown sugar
  • fruits and nuts
  • 4 tbsp of homemade yogurt 
  • 1 tbsp of homemade caramel
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Heat liquid over medium-high heat. Get it bubbling, but not ferociously so.
  2. Reduce to medium heat, add in oats and dates, stirring frequently, about 5 minutes until milk is absorbed.
  3. Add a pinch of salt and stir in fruits, cook for another minute.
  4. Remove from heat and cool for several minutes. Add extra yogurt and caramel and toast some nuts. Done!
